Matt Cutts on why you shouldnt use nofollow on internal links

In this video, matt cutts talks about the use of the “nofollow” hyperlink property on internal links. Previously, many people tried to sculpt their site by using nofollow (so link juice is not passed on) on sites with little relevance (about, privacy policy, contact page etc) which meant there was more to go around to other sites, which were usually money pages or top content.

Indeed, in some cases it looks like it might hurt your site getting link juice in some cases…. so best to stop doing this now and focus on a good internal link structure without using nofollow.
